    Senator Scott Kawasaki

    Born in 1975 , Scott, along side his sister Sonja, was raised in Fairbanks for nearly his entire life. After graduating from Lathrop High School, Scott attended UAF where he received a BS degree in Biomedical Sciences.

    In 1999, at age 24, Scott Kawasaki became the youngest member ever to sit on the Fairbanks City Council and has served in the Alaska State House of Representatives for 12 years and in the State Senate for the past 5 years. An avid fisherman, when he's not visiting with neighbors or busy at his office, Scott takes every chance he can get to go out and enjoy Alaska's great wilderness.

    Senator Löki Gale Tobin

    Born and raised in Nome, Alaska, Löki Gale Tobin is a University of Alaska Anchorage graduate and holds a master’s degree in rural development from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Peace Corps Master’s International Program, having served as a Youth Development Volunteer in Azerbaijan from 2008-2011. Currently, she's a PhD student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks; her research topic is focused on culturally responsive education. She has a long career working in marketing and donor relations for Alaskan nonprofits.

    Senator Matt Claman

    Matt Claman began representing West Anchorage in the Alaska State Senate in 2023 following the November 2022 election. Prior to service in the Senate, Matt served West Anchorage in the State House of Representatives from 2015 through 2022.

    Matt always puts Alaska first, working across party lines for a responsible action plan for Alaska with common-sense, practical solutions.

    Senator Forrest Dunbar

    Forrest Dunbar represents District J, and is a lifelong Alaskan, originally from Eagle on the Yukon River and Cordova on Prince William Sound. Growing up, Forrest worked as a commercial fishing deckhand, cannery worker, and wildland firefighter, before eventually earning a law degree and a masters in public policy.

    Senator Donny Olson

    Olson was born in Golovin, Alaska. He graduated from Covenant High School in Unalakleet, attended Seattle Pacific College; then the University of Minnesota, Duluth, where he received a B.A. in Chemistry; attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks; the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he received his M.D., the University of Colorado School of Law for his Juris Doctor, and did postgraduate work in law at Cambridge University in England.

    Senator Jesse Kiehl

    Jesse Kiehl serves Juneau, Haines, Skagway, Gustavus, & Klukwan in the Alaska Legislature. Since taking office in 2019 he's built a reputation for listening fairly and asking tough questions.

    Driving his work in the Alaska State Senate, Jesse pushes to move Alaska forward, always keeping a weather eye on Southeast.

    Senator Bill Wielechowski

    Representing District K, Bill Wielechowski holds a Bachelor of Science in business management and finance from Seton Hall University and went on to earn his juris doctorate in 1992. After moving to Anchorage, his long career in public service began as a volunteer with the Northeast Community Council. In 1999, he became the designated chair of the Alaska Workers’ Compensation Board before stepping down to become associate general counsel for IBEW Local 1547.

    Senator Elvi Gray-Jackson

    Elvi Gray-Jackson began her public service career with the Municipality of Anchorage at the Public Transit Department 37 years ago. Elvi served on the Anchorage Assembly from 2008 to 2017 and has also served on multiple not-for-profit Board of Directors.

    Elvi is a recipient of the Women of Achievement Award and is a recipient of multiple other distinguished awards and recognitions. Elvi is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and has one son, Ramon.

    Senator Lyman Hoffman

    The longest serving legislator in state history, Lyman Hoffman is of Yup’ik descent and serves the people of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Alaska Peninsula, and Aleutian Islands.

    Born in 1950, Lyman is a graduate of Bethel High School and the University of Alaska Anchorage. He and his lovely bride Lillian have two children. His long career in public service began with his first election in 1986 to the Alaska State House of Representatives.
